Alison Sudol was born December 23, 1984. She is an American actress and singer. Her most well-known roles include A Fine Frenzy singer and Queenie Goldstein, in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and its sequels The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) and The Secrets of Dumbledore (222). Her music has been featured on numerous TV shows and movies.
Sudol was the daughter of Sondra West-Moore, a drama teacher, and John Sudol, an acting coach. After her parents divorced, she moved with both of her parents to Los Angeles at the age of five. Growing up, she listened to a variety of music, including Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and other swing musicians. Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Simon and Garfunkel are some of her greatest musical influences.
At 16 years old, she graduated high school. She described herself as “nerdy” and “quiet”, and didn’t drink, smoke, or do anything similar. Interviewer: “I was super nervous about going to college like that. I thought I would go to college for two years and then try to figure out what I wanted to do with music. When I was 18, it was so much that I couldn’t stop.
Sudol was passionate about literature and spent her time reading the works of C. S. Lewis and E. B. White, Lewis Carroll and Anthony Trollope were among her favorite authors. A Fine Frenzy is her stage name. It comes from a line in William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The poet’s eye, while in fine frenzy rolling doesth glance from heaven and earth, from heaven to heaven (Act 5, Scene 1). She began to write songs after learning how to play the piano.

Sudol was known for her music career as A Fine Frenzy. This moniker is derived from the phrase “in fine frenzy rolling”, which means rolling in the ecstasy and inspiration, in William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Act V Scene 1.s. One Cell in the Sea was her debut album. It received generally positive reviews. She was also selected to open for Rufus Wainwright’s tour in the mid-200s. She headlined her own tour of the USA and Canada in March 2008 and April 2008. In April, she toured France, Belgium and Germany. She was the headline act at the SWR3 New Pop Festival’s opening night in September 2008. In November 2008, she returned to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for a headline tour. She also participated in the Super Bock em Stock Festival in Portugal in December 2008.
