Sandrine Holt

Sandrine Clare Holt, born Sandrine Vanessa Ho on 19 November 1972, is a Canadian-born model and actress.

Early life

Holt was born Sandrine Ho in Croydon. Her middle name was changed to Claire later. Man Shun (“Horace”) Ho is her father. Ho received a B.Sc Physics, Applied Mathematics and M.Sc Computer Science from the University of London. Christiane (nee Nicolette), her mother, is French. She and her family moved to Toronto at the age of five. Holt was a student at St. Joseph’s Morrow Park Catholic secondary school in Willowdale. Before becoming an actress, she worked in Paris as a runway model. Her younger sister, who is a model and designer, is her older brother.

Holt, who was credited with the role of Sandrine Ho in Friday the 13th’s 1989 episode, made his acting debut in Black Robe, 1991.  His subsequent film and television roles include roles in Rapa Nui, Once a Thief and Pocahontas: The Legend as well as Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

She starred in a recurring role as Evelyn Martin (aide to First Lady Martha Logan) on 24 television series in 2006. She starred in the recurring role as Catherine Rothberg on Showtime’s The L Word in 2007.

She appeared on House of Cards’ first season in 2013 as Gillian Cole. Gillian is the leader of World Well, a grass-roots organization that supplies clean water to developing nations.

She appeared in the 2015 film Terminator Genisys and the TV series Fear the Walking Dead.

She appeared in MacGyver in 2016 as Patricia Thornton (ex-field agent, now director of operations for DXS).

She was a recurring character on Law & Order Special Victims Unit in 2018 as Dr. Lisa Abernathy. A clinical psychologist who evaluates defendants prior to their trials,

Personal Life

Holt was later divorced by Travis Huff, a rock producer/engineer.

She posed nude in 2015 for Allure magazine’s May issue.
