Teresa Palmer

eresa Marie Palmer was born 26 February 1986 in Australia. Her first roles were in Bedtime Stories (2008) and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010). She also starred in Take Me Home Tonight (2011) and I Am Number Four (2011). Her roles in Warm Bodies (2013) and Lights Out (2016), Hacksaw Hill (2016), Berlin Syndrome (2017) were further recognized. With her husband Mark Webber, she also co-wrote and produced the drama film The Ever After (2014). Palmer played the role of Diana Bishop in A Discovery of Witches, a supernatural drama series that ran from 2018 to 2022.

Early life

Palmer was born in Adelaide, South Australia and raised by Paula Sanders, a former missionary nurse and nurse. When she was three years old, her parents split and she was divorced by Paula Sanders in 1992. Kaaren Palmer is her stepmother. She also has two half-sisters, and two stepbrothers who lived with her father. Interview revealed that Palmer said she was “from rather humble beginnings”. She lived with her mother in public housing, while visiting her father on his farm near Mylor in Adelaide Hills.

Palmer attended Mercedes College, a Catholic day school. She won a local casting audition called “Search for a Movie Star” in 2003. Palmer’s first acting gig was as a Strawberry Shortcake doll. Then, she worked at Supre, Mambo Australia, and Cotton On.

Career

2005: Australia’s New Beginnings

Palmer was an extra in Deck Dogz (2005) and other Adelaide films. She was 18 when Murali K. Thalluri cast her in 2:37, an independent Australian film about a high school suicide. [5] For her performance, she was nominated to the 2006 Australian Film Institute Award as Best Lead Actress. After signing with a talent agency in Sydney, Palmer starred as Restraint with Stephen Moyer (English actor) and Travis Fimmel (Calvin Klein model). The film was shot on location in New South Wales between 2005 and 2006. It was directed by David Denneen. Screen International named Palmer an Australian “star to come” that year. The film, December Boys, was a coming-of age movie set in the 1960s and based on Michael Noonan’s novel. She played Lucy, a character who falls in love with Daniel Radcliffe in a remote beach community. To capture the overt sexuality of her character, Palmer studied Dominique Swain’s performance in Lolita (1997).

Personal life

Palmer was a number-one ticket holder at the Port Adelaide Football Club beginning in 2009. He had been a Port Adelaide fan since his childhood.

After contacting Mark Webber via Twitter, Palmer began dating Mark Webber, actor and director. They were engaged in August 2013 and they were married in Mexico on 21 December 2013. Webber and Palmer have two children together, two sons and two girls. Palmer is also the stepmother of Webber’s son, who is from a previous relationship with actress Frankie Shaw. In November 2012, Palmer and Phoebe Tonkin launched Your Zen Life, a health and wellness website. With Sarah Wright, her friend, she co-founded Your Zen Mama, a sister website to Your Zen Life.
